Child Safeguarding, Family Support & Parenting Work

At Beacon Social Care, we work in partnership with Local Authorities, Solicitors, and legal teams to provide high-quality, responsive services in a wide range of statutory contexts. We support families and professionals involved in:

  • Children in Need (CIN) plans
  • Child Protection (CP) plans
  • Children Looked After (CLA) placements
  • Public Law Outline (PLO) interventions
  • Supervision Orders and Care Proceedings

Our approach is grounded in systemic family practice and early intervention. We believe that, wherever it is safe and appropriate, families should be supported to remain together through practical, structured and compassionate support.

Parenting & Family Support Services
Our team provides tailored, hands-on support to vulnerable families through:

  • Child Protection and Welfare Visits – carried out by qualified professionals to monitor safety, provide support, and offer guidance to parents and carers.
  • Return Home Interviews – delivered sensitively following missing episodes to explore underlying issues, reduce repeat absences, and help young people feel heard.
  • Supervised Contact – facilitating safe, structured family contact in the home or community, focusing on rebuilding relationships and promoting emotional security.
  • Family Group Conferences and Family Network Meetings – helping families identify their own support solutions and build safe, sustainable care plans.
  • Home-based Support – including help with routines, home cleanliness, meal preparation, and modelling of positive parenting strategies.
  • Supported Community Assessments – as an alternative to residential settings, offering professionals a clear picture of family functioning within the home environment.
  • Respite Support – short-term, structured respite packages to give families a break or to support children during times of crisis or transition.

Our aim is to reduce risk, promote stability, and support parental capacity. We are committed to family preservation wherever it is safe to do so and understand that practical, wraparound support can make the difference in outcomes for children.
